Computer Classes

Robinson Reserve Neighbourhood House currently offers a variety of computer classes for different interests and skill levels.

Computer Basics

Gain hands-on experience and confidence with this beginners course designed for people new to computers. In a small class with a supportive trainer, be introduced to basic computer functions, begin to use Microsoft programs including Word and Excel, and learn how to send emails and navigate the Internet. ACFE funded.

Intermediate Computers

Establish your core skills with this intermediate course designed for people who have a basic understanding of computers and want to expand their skills through further exploration of Microsoft Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet. Increase your knowledge and confidence for your personal and business needs. ACFE funded.

Work Readiness Using Intel Learn Easy Steps

This course is designed to prepare individuals for employment opportunities. Using Intel Learn Easy Steps resource as a tool, the course content will have an emphasis on developing employment skills. Students will follow a basic introduction to computers, email, internet, file-saving, and resumes and job applications.

Term 2, 2017

Fridays, 21 July – 20 September, 10am – 12:00pm

Digital Devices with Photo & Internet

This combination course will cover basic iPad, Androids and PC skills. During the period, a range of skills will be developed including on how to use the internet, editing photos on the PC, setting up the digital device, exploring the apps store and covering safety procedures. If students have their own device, they can bring it in and use the Wi-Fi supplied. iPads are readily available for use.
